Quantity surveyor and senior estimator opportunities
My client is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor and a Senior Estimator to work in the West Midlands area. You should have previous relevant work experience and must have a BSc or a HNC in a relevant construction field.
My client
My client is a medium sized contractor, which is wholly owned by a major national construction firm (PLC). They work primarily in the Birmingham area and specializing in commercial projects, these include:
-Warehouses (GBP5m)
-Office Developments (GBP3.2m)
-Retail Units (GBP1.6m)
The Candidate
You need to have a strong commercial background and knowledge of both D & B and traditional build. You must also have experience in sub contract procurement.
The Role
Senior Quantity Surveyor (Salary up to 50k) – You will be required to undertake all aspects of Quantity Surveying including subcontract procurement. You will be required to work effectively and pro-actively overseeing Assistant Quantity Surveyors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. You will be working on 3-4 projects simultaneously.
Senior Estimator (Salary up to 60k) – You will be carrying out the full estimating function. Working in a team and should be familiar with B's of Q's and ideally Conquest (estimating package). This will involve projects between the values of GBP750,000 to GBP7,000,000.
