Commercial manager
Role:
My Client is the one of the largest contractors in the UK they have just agreed a new contact with a major airport to build a new terminal. My Client is looking for a commercial manager to direct and manage the Project's commercial resources, both during the pre-construction & construction phases, in order to ensure success of the company business plan. This is a unique permanent role to become an integral part of this construction project.
Skills:
·Identify business risks in projects throughout – from inception to financial completion - and monitor arrangements to manage and minimise these
·Manage, reduce and drive out unnecessary costs and inefficient activities.
·Adhere to reporting structures to ensure the project covers all its costs whilst progress is in line with agreed plans.
·Provide strategic and general commercial advice and guidance to project delivery teams (e.g. applications, valuations, invoicing, claims formulation, cost value)
·Ensure project teams have a good commercial understanding and focus. Provide motivation and support to the team to achieve the required commercial control.
·Contribute to a business improvement plan to ensure that project delivery is commercially sound, and is in line with both the TWC and the local business plan
