Project Management Office (PMO) - London
Our client provides leading edge solutions to the global financial services industry, they are growing rapidly, are profitable and privately held. They require a candidate for the Project Management Office in London who will be involved in making process improvements and rolling out key initatives. In time the candidate will take on-going responsibility for executing processes on a global basis. The role will require extensive international travel.
Main responsibilities:
- To manage workshops and determine scope of projects for prospective and existing clients
- Roll out initiatives as they come off the production line and take responsibility for their execution
- Undertake reviews of projects
- Provide support to delivery/project managers
- Promote standards for project implementations
- Act as reference point for projects
Requirements:
- Strong project management background, ideally PMO, within a banking environment
- Excellent client facing and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Experienced user of Microsoft Project, Visio and Office tools
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong educational background
- Ability to travel on assignments of 2-4 weeks in duration.
