Departmental Float Secretary
Our Client who have offices in Asia, The Middle East and Euope are recruiting for a departmental float. If variety is what you are after and something that keeps you extremley busy then this could be the ideal job for you.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
?Supporting the Fee Earners within relevant department on an ad hoc basis, according to the needs of the business ?Demonstrates effective working practices by planning, organising and managing work effectively when covering for Secretaries during periods of holiday and absence ?In any instance where the Float Secretary is unable to complete their work it is essential to write clear instructions to indicate what must be done in order to fulfil the task ?Audio-typing correspondence ?Booking meeting rooms ?Filing documents according to the particular system already in place ?Telephone contact with clients and other solicitors ?Amends client documents in their house style to a high standard ?Proofreads and corrects all documents and enclosures ?Produce presentations and spreadsheets when required ?At the end of each day, the desk should be left in an appropriately tidy fashion
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Essential
?Excellent accurate typing skills of more than 65 words per minute ?Able to deal with a diverse range of personalities ?Experience of complex law work within the relevant department ?Comfortable with legal terminology ?Working knowledge of all standard IT applications eg. Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel ?Uses telephone, voicemail and Outlook appropriately for communication ?Promotes a professional approach to work in both appearance and manner
