Who they are
The private banking subsidiary of a multi-national bank with assets of £1.2billion. The UK operation offers a comprehensive range of both commercial and private banking services. The bank operates from their offices in the West End and also has a base in Manchester and a number of off-shore offices.
What you will be doing
The role covers all aspects of regulatory reporting, including daily, monthly and quarterly reporting. Due to the migration to Basle 2 during 2008, this role will be critical in assisting with changeover to the new requirements, including working with our software vendors on automated solutions and the development of in-house models both for early assessment of regulatory impact and for testing purposes. The Bank has widened its product set through acquisition and organic growth, and now provides an increased offering of derivative solutions to customers. Proper assessment of regulatory impact of this growth will be a key area for this role. The role will have considerable interaction with Treasury, IT, compliance and Finance. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the role sits within a Finance team of 8.
What they want
You will have a solid working knowledge of FSA and Bank of England regulatory returns and will have had experience of reporting on capital adequacy, liquidity and large exposures. You will have had exposure to Basle 2 and be able to assist with the migration process. You will be able to identify problems and suggest ways to improve current processes.
Salary: £34000 - £35000 per annum
