(DSY) Head of Treasury and Banking Services
This commodity derivatives house is currently expanding its UK operations and is seeking a talented individual for the Heade of Treasury & Banking Services. The Jobholder will be responsible for managing all banking & treasury services for a new entity. This involves managing relationship with banking outsourcing partner, implementing & maintaining high level of controls & efficient processes, and liaising with other members of the team.
Initially the jobholder will be concerned with set-up activities however in the day-to-day running they will be required to;
-Manage outsourcing relationships with banking and investment services provider
-Manage all Member payments and receipts, and all bank accounts
-Ensure Member bank reconciliations are performed on a daily basis
-Liaise with Members as and when required
-Manage billing process
-Manage custody positions ? between Members and Custodian
-Liaise with other departments including Operations, Risk, Finance
-Manage and develop 2 members of staff
This is a new business so will be a fair degree of complexity involved, both from an IT & general systems perspective. The jobholder will have the most banking/treasury experience so will be relied upon to implement best practice, in keeping with the primary business objectives. The jobholder will be involved in the set-up of processes & controls, especially around reconciliations etc. As this is a new role, there is a lot of scope to develop further.
It is expected that the successful applicant will have experience in a senior role within a bank or financial services institution involved in settlements & transaction banking. They must have a good understanding of trading activities, custody arrangements and investment management with experience of SWIFT messaging system an advantage.
