(DSY) Senior Financial Accountant - Derivatives
A leading city energy derivatives brokerage requires a senior financial accountant to work with the Clearing and Finance teams.
Primary responsibility is for Clearing accounting but will also be involved in other Finance team activities & projects. US & UK GAAP
Account for all activities under US GAAP & UK GAAP
Member balances (margins and default fund) ? use of fair value accounting for financial instruments
Month-end reporting and reconciliations
Liaise closely with other Clearing departments, including Risk and Operations
Coordinate month-end activities as required
Develop in-depth understanding of clearing house's activities
Other ad hoc work as required
The candidate will be experienced with involvement with Financial Services, particularly dealing with derivatives.
It is expected that the candidate will be qualified (ACA or equivalent) preferably from Big 4 in addition to be educated to Degree and A level or equivalent.
The candidate should be able to work independently as well as part of several teams (Finance, Clearing, Futures)
