Business development manager, UK and US information sales


My client sells financial information about private equity, market intelligence and market data to banks, law firms and investors. They are a young, dynamic and rapidly growing business that has been trading for a year. Founded by people with a strong background in investment banking and financial information they sell a unique but highly respected product. Over the last year they have grown exponentially and are now in need to recruit to keep up with the growth.

They are looking to hire a team of experienced financial information or subscription sales people to develop new business as well as taking responsibility for renewals. The product is sold as annual subscriptions. Your role would be to specialise in one of their product streams ensuring you find and follow up on leads, close deals and provide ongoing service to their existing clients. The role is mainly phone based but at least once a month you will be representing the company on conferences and exhibitions around the world.

In order to qualify for this role you must have at least one years experience selling financial information or online subscriptions. You need to be autonomous and a good time manager. You should want to make your mark in a small and rapidly developing business. To be successful you have to be energetic and enthusiastic. You have to know how to pitch a product to senior members in high yield businesses. This role will offer you uncapped earnings and the opportunity to become team leader and sales manager within a couple of years. A degree in business information, business administration, finances or similar is an advantage,
