The Company:
Our client, a global company operating within the manufacturing industry with clients all over the world. They are currently looking to recruit a Finance Manager for their office based in Cambridgeshire.
The Role:
The overall aim of the position will involve the provision of timely and accurate US GAAP and local reporting for the UK & Ireland. The position will include the following key responsibilities;
-Provision of a full reporting service in US GAAP.
-Reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Liaising with the Finance team and other departments.
- Dealing with financial enquiries.
- Raising or resolving any problems related to accounts and other financial data.
-Develop strong working relationships both internally as well as externally.
-Provide training and work direction for junior team members.
-Support the budget process if needed.
-For own specialist country file statutory accounts, tax, government returns and be the contact for auditors and local authorities.
Candidate Profile:
Candidates must be fluent in English. Additional language skills could be an advantage. Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent European finance degree. The successful candidate would have an eye for details, be well organized and have an ability to work under pressure. Excellent IT skills in Excel and preferably also in SAP. Experience from managing people would be a strong advantage. Previous accounting experience within a diverse professional team is required.
Salary/Additional Information:
The salary for this position is negotiable. The working hours will be 8.45am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday and 8.45-4.00pm on Fridays. The company also offers a fantastic benefits package with flexible work hours, 25 days paid holiday + bank holidays, pension plan, life assurance, private healthcare. There is a subsidised restaurant on site and a corporate membership agreement with a local Health club. The role may involve occasional travel. This is a 14 months maternity cover.
