Compliance Manager, London
We are recruiting on behalf of a global leader in employee benefit, actuarial and human resources consultancy. Highly respected, they work with blue chip companies, providing client-focused solutions to employee benefit requirements. They now have a opening in their London office for a Compliance Manager
Providing support to the operations of the company in the interpretation of all regulatory requirements of Financial Services legislation, and the Financial Services Authority (in particular COB and ICOB rules) and the effect of these on the company's business practices, your responsibilities will vary but include.
Complaints liaison, investigation and reporting
Create and advise on the implementation of systems and controls to ensure that the business practices comply with the above
Ensure audits are undertaken and reports made to the Board on compliance with the company's procedures in respect of consultancy and administration practices/conduct of business rules; training and competence; complaints; recruitment and individual registration; accounts; financial resources and client money; client money regulations, advertising approvals and financial promotions.
Provide advice and guidance on the writing of, and approval of all Financial Promotions.
Ensure Money Laundering Regulations and provisions of 1998 Data Protection Act are fully complied with.
Peer review and ensure own work is peer reviewed as appropriate.
Educated to degree or equivalent, it is essential that you the full FPC as a minimum (industry qualifications in pensions desirable) together with a good understanding of FSA COB rules, and preferably also ICOB rules.
