Software Designer
A niche consultancy working within the insurance sector is looking for a Software Design to work on client-facing business critical projects. The role is varied and involves working closely with a number of other internal teams: Analysis, Development, Project Implementation, Project Management, Application Support and Sales and Marketing. This is an exciting and challenging role and will require a bright, ambitious, motivated person who can work under their own initiative and would like to be a key player in the design and development of main applications with the ability to lead and motivate other people and to work well within the design and development teams. 5 years plus design/development experience in writing distributed applications, including experience in complex business applications, an ability to learn complex business areas and application architecture quickly, .Net (c# and VB.Net.) VB6 background with very strong COM+ and advanced SQL is mandatory. Familiarity with one or more design methodologies and tools is also required.
