Claims Assessor (Group Life PHI Claims)
Due to recent restructure and expansion, my Client a Financial Services and Insurance organisation is seeking a Claims Assessor (Group Life PHI Claims) to join their team in East Croydon.
As the successful candidate you will be responsible for handling 90% accident & health, PHI, medical and rehabilitation claims and 10% of foreign embassy claims Including the Middle East, Spain, Columbia and South America etc. as well as handling all Group Life, PHI claims and Specialist schemes.
Candidates must have relevant experience and exposure in handling group life accident & health, medical, rehabilitation and PHI insurance claims. You will come from either a financial services life insurance company, or professional nursing background.
You will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have first class organisational / time management skills with the ability to multi task. In addition you will have a thorough understanding of the concepts of insurance with the ability to apply empathy and be sympathetic as well as resilient.
You will be educated to at least 'GCSE' calibre or equivalent, in both Maths & English and demonstrate a willingness to study towards financial services qualifications, which will be sponsored by the Client. In addition, a fully qualified Nurse or equivalent very advantageous.
Salary: £20000 - £28000 per annum + excellent benefits
