Islamic Banking Products Controller
This role is in the exciting and rapidly expanding Islamic banking products area.
The role involves:
¡ Maintenance of the accounting systems noting that activities are currently booked across 4 accounting systems.
¡ Review of daily/monthly P&L for Islamic products.
¡ New Product Committee - investigation into the booking of new Islamic products. Development of specific accounting schemes.
¡ Daily/Weekly controls over ISIS GL.
¡ Accounting entries for corrections / modifications / suspense clearance.
¡ Ad hoc tasks/analyses as required by management
Project responsibilities include:
¡ Responsibility for implementation of new accounting codification and transactions related to Islamic products.
¡ Responsibility for specifying the accounting link from H.O. back office systems (FOX, Summit) to - ISIS/Oracle GL
This is an exciting time to join a new and expanding team where your product exposure will not just be limited to Islamic Banking products, rather you will see the trades across all products the bank deals in and then deal with covering these trades to Islamic trades.
