Property Investment Manager
The Company
One of Irelands leading banking and life assurance companies, with a successful track record in commercial property investment, is expanding its product offering. As a result, a separate wealth management division is being created to acquire and syndicate commercial property investments across Europe on behalf of high net worth clients.
The Role
The Job: reporting to the Head of Property, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the acquisition of commercial property investments on behalf of high net worth individuals across Europe. To date the portfolio contains investments in Ireland, UK, France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Italy. The current investment strategy is to grow the property portfolio by 1 billion per Annam. Overseas travel will be necessary. Key responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to: ·Reviewing and analysing pan-European real estate investment opportunities ·Financial review and cash flow analysis of proposed acquisition ·Travelling to proposed site and meeting with third parties (agents, solicitors, technical advisors, etc.) ·Agreeing terms of the acquisition with the seller ·Negotiating with lending banks on the financing of acquisitions ·Preparing Board Approval papers ·Reporting to Investors on the performance of existing assets within the portfolio The Person: The successful candidate will possess the following skills and competencies: ·Graduate calibre (ideally within a property related discipline such as Property Economics, Real Estate Management) and / or hold a relevant professional qualification such as Qualified Chartered Surveyor, Qualified Accountant, Legal or Tax Specialist ·Proven experience within a commercial property environment in a professional or financial institution ·Experience of analysis in pan-European real estate investment opportunities ·Ability to identify opportunities within the market ·Strong commercial awareness ·Be articulate and display strong numerical skills ·Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills ·Ability to work on own initiative ·Drive and enthusiasm is fundamental ·Ambitious, self motivated and eager to develop within a team environment and on an individual basis This is an excellent opportunity to work in a high profile and visible role in a very dynamic environment.
