SQL Database Administrator - DBA
SQL Database Administrator (DBA) required to join a leading consultancy to play a key role as an internal DBA. Your responsibilities will involve planning, designing, developing, implementing, administering and supporting the SQL server environments. Ideally looking for someone who can state ASAP paying in the region of 50k pa.
Key skills
Experience with SQL versions 2000 and 7.
Good Transact-SQL knowledge (stored procedure development).
Maintenance and Performance tuning of live database systems.
SQL Job monitoring and Maintenance.
DTS design and maintenance (VB Scripting).
Firm understanding of Datawarehouse Solutions.
Analysis and Report generation.
Logical Database design and normalisation.
Good understanding of replication techniques.
Good understanding of backup strategies and Disaster recovery.
ODBC based data publishing to MS Office Solutions.
Documentation and SQL Standard Implementation.
Data migration techniques.
Good understanding of SQL Security Models.
Oracle 8/9i administration/support
Must have a good understanding of the following technologies:
MS SQL Server, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, MS Office (Access, Excel)
MS Analysis Services, Business Objects, MS Cluster, MS Active Directory
