Information Data Analyst, 3 months assignment, GBP26K pro rata, South West London
Friendly public sector company with offices based in South West London (closest tube stations are Vauxhall and Pimlico) are seeking a temporary Information Analyst to join their busy team on a temporary assignment. To start asap, this role will last the duration of approximately 3 months.
Previous experience of working in a similar Information and Data Analyst role is essential. Degree or equivalent qualification in statistical analysis or an information related discipline. Specialist knowledge of statistics and epidemiology. Substantial experience (at least 3 years) in use of data analysis/reporting software (Crystal reports etc). Good Excel, Access, Word, databases etc. Experience of database data extraction. Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen, influence and negotiate. Highly organised with the ability to prioritise. Knowledge and understanding of the use of geographical information systems (GIS) for geographical display of data.
The successful applicant will provide data and information analytical support, working collaboratively with other agencies and stakeholders within the region.
Please note that some travel around London (and occasionally nationally) will be required.
Duties will include;
Act as regional resource for data analysis, interpretation representation utilising a range of relevant analytical, statistical and software tools.
Liaise with information staff, specialists and analysts on information sharing and the promotion of opportunities.
Keep abreast of data source and analytical tool developments to provide advice and support to colleagues etc.
Represent the organisation at relevant local, regional or national events including public presentations etc.
Provide reports and bulletins in various formats.
Undertake statistical procedures on data such as regression analysis, calculation of confidence intervals etc.
