Salary Range: GBP 15 848 - GBP17 771 pa
Inclusive of all allowances
Post is full time (36 hours pw), but job share / part time may be considered
Fixed Term Contract until 30 September 2008
The Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability is a non-profit medical charity, and a hospital and home, based in Putney, South West London. We provide both short and long-term specialist services (assessment, rehabilitation, and disability management) for adults with profound or complex disabilities resulting from damage to the brain or nervous system. Through these services, we seek to enable people with profound neuro-disability to enjoy an optimal quality of life.
Vacancy for 1 Physiotherapy Assistant post has arisen, based in the busy Physiotherapy Department.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Some experience of working with patients with complex disability
* Some interest in Hydrotherapy
* Good organisational skills
* Good interaction skills with staff and patients
* Proven team working
* The ability to write clear and informative notes
* Adequate computer skills
* Evidence to show commitment to lifelong learning
Key responsibilities include:
Working with patients with complex neuro-disability, supporting the physiotherapists in the provision of appropriate treatment programmes, and working closely with other physiotherapy assistants and Technical Instructors. Participating in the hydrotherapy programme will be essential. The right candidate should be able to work with physiotherapists who look after respiratory patients and/or those on a ventilator.
