I Need help configuring Cisco Ws-C2948G

Just got this slightly used CISCO WS-C2948G, but I think I got a lemmon. I'm not cisco certified so I'm looking for someone who is CCNA who can come by and give me a hand with it setting it up. Otherwise if more convenient, I can come visit you with the switch. LEDs all go on but then they all turn off (all but the PSI), even the status LED turns off. The funny thing about this switch is that there is no "mode" button to press on the front as described on cisco web sites.
