Architectural technician
To deliver mid sized project designs and/or well detailed planning application, tender and construction documents, through the use of building technologies and solutions, working carefully with the lead role to ensure all energy management based regulations and client performance criteria has been met.
To work independently and alongside the project team including the quantity surveyor in the preparation of detailed contract documents ensuring the documents are checked for completeness, prior to the lead role checking and signing these off.
To prepare and complete Construction Design Management (CDM) risk assessments and designer schedules, ensuring the client and on site clients are aware of their obligations under the regulations and offering guidance on the completing and understanding of this. Including integration and approvals of the consultant's method statements and risk assessments.
To prepare project programmes for approval by the lead role, ensuring mile stones are clearly noted and achieved and slippage is minimised, and reported accordingly with reason.
To research thoroughly the products specified and their suitable application and to submit these scheduled to the lead role to approve. To compile specification files for each project and to obtain from suppliers NBS based specifications for submission to the Quantity Surveyor or lead surveyor to complete.
