Systems Support Analyst GBP25K


Our client is an International Music Company operating all over the globe covering all music genres from pop to jazz, rock to R&B;, classics to country and are currently looking for a Systems Support Analyst on a 9 month contract.
SCOPE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position will involve being responsible for global support for global sales and marketing systems within the Finance department. The ideal candidate will be confident in system development and user training. They will also be generating ad-hoc reports out of data models created in Excel and Business Objects. They will be required to check accuracy of the figures generated from the data models and also be able to interpret and analyse the data.
They will need to use Business Objects to improve the standard of reporting and be confident enough to work alongside users in the finance and marketing departments and help to ensure their reporting needs are met.
Main Responsibilities:
Global support for global sales and marketing systems which include World Sales 2, Market intelligence, SMART and the Charts System.
Ensuring user documentation for all of the above systems is available and kept up to date.
Ensuring that all territories report sales in a timely manner.
Updating/correcting sales in World Sales 2 and Market Intelligence.
Manually loading data for territories on a weekly/ad-hoc basis.
Linking different versions of a release in World Sales 2 and Market Intelligence.
Manage training for users of all of the above systems.
Business Objects reports and queries – various ad hoc reports must be generated at users request using the appropriate sales universe.
Logging and managing system developments/changes in Problem Tracker.
Ensuring accurate and timely delivery of all sales and marketing reports to senior management.
Liaising with the Marketing departments for the development of new reporting and system requirements.
Testing functionality and data checking.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
Advanced Excel skills (knowledge of formulas, linking etc).
Experience of Business Objects (or similar software).
More than 3 years of database experience is desirable.
Some experience of using PowerPoint would be an advantage.
Highly analytical.
Self motivated.
Ability to think clearly under time pressure.
Strong communication/inter-personal skills.
