Radio communications Trainee Engineer
Major Tasks and responsibilities
1.To assist in programming of all major manufactures PBR equipment.
2.To assist in installations of PBR equipment into vehicles.
3.To assist in maintenance of hire fleet.
4.To assist in minor fault finding on PBR equipment.
5.To assist in fault finding on vehicle installations.
6.To be responsible for despatch of goods outwards.
7.To be responsible for booking in process of goods inwards.
8.To maintain cleanliness and organisation of the stores/workshop.
9.To assist in assembly of power leads, DIY installation kits etc.
10.To assist the engineering department in all aspects of programming, service, sales, maintenance when required.
11.To assist the installation department in all aspects of installation checks etc.
12.To assist the store department in all aspects of booking in/out, packing, unpacking, stock control and distribution.
13.To assist the hire department in all aspects of booking in/out, maintenance, and distribution of goods.
14.Undertake training of a residential or non-residential nature as required.
15.Comply with the company's health and safety policies and all relevant legislation.
16.Carry out other duties commensurate with the grade and skills of the position as may be required.
17.The duties of the post are subject to review and in this respect the details contained are provided as an aid to the performance of the contract of employment.
Essential Skills
1.Educated to GCSE or equivalent with English, Maths, and Physics.
2.BTEC etc Radio amateurs exam
3.Ability to deal with members of the public trade and end user customers with tact and diplomacy.
4.Good telephone manner and interpersonal skills.
5.Good level of common sense.
6.Flexible attitude and willingness to undertake new challenges with enthusiasm.
