Excellent solid Oak wine barrels pre used for the maturing of red wine. They easily convert into excellent feature water butts or you can cut them in half for use as large decorative planters. Remember, when used as water butts they are not subject to a hosepipe ban, the water is natural and best of all free! The barrels are 225 litre or 50 imperial gallon capacity. These are probably the best and cleanest used barrels available today. Size is 56cms across the head, 68cms across the bilge and 95 cms high. Weight is in the region of 50/60 kilos.

In addition to water butts and being in such excellent condition these barrels are perfect for purpose of decoration/display and of course they can be re used in the production of wine, cider, balsamic vinegar, cider brandy etc.
We stock excellent quality chunky 10 inch wooden taps. We can drill a 40mm hole to accept them and supply a tap for an additional GBP10.00, all you do is lightly hammer the tap into the hole. Please let us know if you require this service. In addition we will convert to your requirements ie: removable tops with Oak handles, cut a hole in top for downpipe, brass beer barrel taps (when we have them) just let us know and we'll give you a price with pleasure. Do not confuse our product with others of inferior quality, these barrels will last the proverbial lifetime. Traditionally hand coopered one of these barrels would cost in the region of GBP400.00 to buy new.
Delivery is usually within 10 working days of purchase excepting weekends and self collection is no problem as we do not mark up our delivery cost, what we pay is what you pay. Please provide us with a contact telephone number we can pass on to the couriers if delivery is required.
