Housemistress for boarding school

HOUSEMISTRESS
(Could be job share for 2 ladies or mature experienced married couple)
To supervise the running of the Girl's Boarding House at an International School on the South Coast of England between Hastings and Rye. Distance from London 1.45mins by train.
The Housemistress - Must be firm but fair and ready to take responsibility for 40+ girls between the ages of 10 and 19 years. Must be able to make this a "home" for the Boarders and be prepared to join in with evening activities etc. Be a mother or big sister figure to those who require this if they are feeling homesick.
Live in position with self contained flat plus other staff to organise.
Start date is the 1st April 2008 - initial contract to 30.06.08 which will be renewed for the right candidate(s). Must be prepared to have List99 and CRB check before taking up position.
