Premiere Neige is a small, privately owned Scottish ski company. We provide quality catered chalet holidays as well as self catered chalets and apartments in the beautiful Alpine resort of Sainte Foy, France: www.premiere-neige.com
We are looking for a Maintenance assistant to work with an enthusiastic and adventurous team, available to join us immediately, looking after our French properties. The job is physically demanding and extremely hard work. It requires someone with good initiative, excellent organisational skills, a thorough and conscientious approach, lots of common sense as well as someone who takes pride in their work; flexibility is essential.
Premiere Neige is a company with high standards so the ideal candidate must be presentable and able to converse with a wide range of people. Ideally we are searching for someone with trade skills such as electrics, carpentry, or plumbing. Basic French is also an advantage.
Our remuneration package will not be huge, but will include great accommodation, travel to resort, a weekly food allowance, company phone, medical insurance, uniform, salary and other bonuses in the total package. This lifestyle position.
Applicants must have a permanent UK National Insurance number and be legally able to work in the UK and Europe. A clean driving licence is also a requirement.
Job tasks include:
* External maintenance of all Premiere Neige properties including grass mowing, litter picking and snow clearing
* Internal maintenance of properties – ranging from manual work, plumbing and basic electrics, decorating, installation of new furniture to basic carpentry and wood treating
* Maintenance of tool and linen garages including detailed weekly stock takes
* Driving the Premiere Neige VW Transporter vans locally
* Basic but detailed paperwork i.e. keeping track of all work carried out for billing purposes
Job requirements:
* Enjoys the outdoors and being active!
* Has trade experience e.g. plumbing, carpentry, electrician, decorating, construction
* Has at least 3 years of driving experience and a current, clean license. Experience driving on snow preferable but not essential
* Is flexible, reliable and can work autonomously
* Has an open, friendly and out-going personality
* French language skills an advantage
* Is available to work immediately
We are currently looking for an applicant to stay on for the remainder of the winter season, with the possibility of the position extending into a permanent one, with the chance to stay on and experience Summer in the Alps.
