Temporary payroll and benefits advisor up to 2 months 17 hr
Description:
Our client, an international academic publications firm, who is based in the city and is accessible by all modes of public transport are looking for a temporary to permanent or just temporary candidate for up to a month to 6 weeks to join the team. The successful candidate will be in sole charge of the payroll and benefits for the company. The duties will include:
· Process the monthly payroll for circa 260 employees
· Collate, input and transmit the relevant monthly payroll data on KCS payroll system, in accordance with statutory and contractual obligations
· Monitor and process all changes to payroll including starters, transfers, leavers and other amendments to salaries, contracts and employee data
· Calculate payments due to overseas employees who are employed by the business (amounts to around 5 employees)
· Run month end checks and reconcile the monthly payroll
· Carry out year end payroll procedures and complete the relevant documents and file them with HMRC producing P35, P11d and other reports and documentation as required
· Process the monthly payment of Income Tax and NIC that are due to HMRC
· Undertake the necessary administration that is required to service the company insurance policies such as PHI, Life Assurance, and private medical, ensure that any pending renewals are brought to the attention of the HR Director; that individual claims are processed in a timely manner.
Skills:
· Previous experience running the payroll on a sole charge basis
· The ability to carry out the processes named above
· Processing Year-end payroll experience
· High level of numeracy and ability to deal accurately with calculations of a complex nature
· Responsibility for administering a payroll of 250+
· Knowledge of Statutory Payments and Deductions including SSP, SMP, Income Tax and NIC
