Job Details
My Client School is a mixed, community comprehensive school for students aged 11 to 16 which is a fully inclusive and has around 1,200 students. The school was purpose built in 1999 (achieving national architectural recognition for its design) to serve the local population in Newham. My client is looking to appoint a Citizenship teacher to start ASAP to cover a maternity leave which will go through to the end of the academic year. You will need to have experience teaching KS3 and 4 Citizenship and PSHE and be familiar with the UK curriculum. You will need to be confident with class room management and be able to lead your classes through to exams. Structure has really helped this school move into the future. There are strong procedures in place and plenty of support provided. The school has high standards and expectations to improve and will achieve this by offering quality teaching and learning opportunities, by tracking and monitoring students' academic and social progress, setting targets which are realistic and challenging, and by providing experiences which broaden their outlook and enrich their lives. The school is situated in a great location, close to the historic docks and 10 mins from Canary wharf, London City Airport, EXCEL and UeL (University of East London) are all nearby.
Candidate Requirements
* To be successful you must hold a Teaching Qualification
* Must have a current police clearance.
* Display a proven track record of pupil learning outcomes.
