You will be sharing with to other professional gay men in their thirties (One originally from Manchester who works in Social Care and the other originaly from the Philippines but has been living in London for good 8 years works for Lambeth College running the operations side of the LLDD service). The flat has a very bright open plan living room/fully fitted kitchen, utility room with washing washing and a tumble dryer, bathroom and a downstairs loo. It has wooden floors all through out. The double room for rent has large windows facing the gardens of the flat downstairs and has fitted wardrobes and a double bed,painted neutrally.
The rent is GBP433 plus council tax of GBP33 pounds. Included in the rent is the water. Gas and electricity is not included but works out at around $20 to GBP30 pounds per month. This is a good rent considering the area.
The street is just off Abbeyville road and Clapham Common Southside. Boasts of some lovely restaurants, bars, shops. There is even a local gastropub which is definitely one of the best in London and food is absolutely cracking. Along Abbeyville Road there is Starbucks, Pizza Express, A French Bistro (Le Chardon), Cafe Rouge, Dexters Hamburger Grill and Bar (formerly Tootsie's), an Indian as well as a Chinese Restaurant, A lovely local cafe, post office, to local shops, a wine merchant and a very nice fromagerie/Boulangerie. There is also a lovely farmer's market every Sunday. You are also within a few minutes walk of the various shops and restaurants in Clapham High Street which is absoulute lovely, 2 main supermarkets (Sainsbury's in the Clapham Common and Tesco's in Clapham South and 2 gaybars (Kazbar and 2 Brewers). The street is actually in between the two tube stations and has very good transport links into town.
Idealy we are looking for a gay man in their 30's. You must employed, be very clean, tidy and above all as this is a flatshare very considerate and respectful of your housemates. All of us are just tenants in the flat and I assure you that the landlord is sweetest and absolutely most considerate landlord you'll ever encounter who also owns the flat downstairs.
