This service is only for replacement of a broken/faulty laptop/notebook power/DC connector/jack/socket. This is not service for repair of other laptop/notebook faults. Prior to calling make sure the laptop connector is the fault. Signs indicating the connector might be the fault are:
1. Battery wouldn't charge.
2. Battery charge light wouldn't lit on when power is connected.
3. Intermittent charging.
4. When the power lead is wiggled it makes or losses contact.
5. Won't charge unless the lead is held in one position.
6. The pin in the centre of the connector is loose, pushed in or missing.
7. The whole connector is loose, pushed in or missing.
8. Sometimes when power is connected smells of burnt out.

In the majority of the cases one of two things happens when a connector fail. Either the connector brakes into pieces or comes off the motherboard because of the pressure applied when plugging in or pulling out the DC power. Someone might have noticed from the photo that compared to the original connector the replacement one is slightly different and there is a visible nut outside. (Yes - the picture bellow is a real snapshot taken from already repaired laptop and it is not generic picture taken from the Internet.) This type of connector proved to be more solid and robust. Large part of the connector's contact surface is made of metal and it mounts to the case of the laptop. That way the pressure is taken by the laptop's plastic chassis and not by the weaker motherboard.
