Responsibilities:
To plan and implement the Humanities curriculum for all pupils at KS3 and KS4, including appropriate accreditation.
To ensure that individual and group schemes of work are developed which are effective in meeting national guidelines and the individual needs of the pupils.
To provide in-service training and guidance in Humanities to home tutors attached to the PRU.
To actively contribute to the development of whole unit policies and practice.
To maintain knowledge of current developments in Humanities by attending in-service courses.
To attend Borough Head of Humanities and KS3 strategy meetings.
To maintain a comprehensive recording and assessment system that complies with the PRU's reporting procedures.
To take responsibility for a tutor group of up to 8 pupils if required.
To act as a line manager for a small group of staff in accordance with the PRU's Performance Management Policy.
To be committed to the wider pastoral role and safeguarding of the welfare and personal development of all pupils.
