By building on their long experience in the educational sector they are now recognised as a leading practitioner in the design of PFI schools, with many exciting projects on site and under development throughout the UK. Other areas they design in include government, healthcare and community projects.
Role:
You will join one of the few practices who are very busy at present as this client specialize in educational schemes. They have several new schemes about to commence, combined with current educational schemes.
You will be able to join a project that compliments your skills as they have several options.
Workload is huge and so you don't need to worry about the role terminating unlike the market in general.
Role will allow you to increase UK based knowledge as the schemes are all UK based and in a very important sector for the UK with "Building Schools for the Future" this sector is one to definitely get into your portfolio
Person:
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
* Good AutoCAD experience will be required
* Real design and technical abilities to prove a successful team member
* Educational projects exposure would be ideal
* Good mix of presentation drawings and general arrangement drawings
* Good detailing abilities
* Experienced in progressing designs to planning application and beyond
* A pro-active and focused attitude
* Working drawings knowledge, ability to create and amend them
* UK Building regulations knowledge will be required due to schemes being UK based and of a nature that follows regulations closely
* Natural ability to understand how a building goes together
