Summary of role: If you crave an office who allow you to use your skills, run a project and control, a team, this small and friendly SW office need an architect for several complex schemes .
The role:
You will be offered the opportunity to take over one or more schemes that are running simultaneously, so good scope for team management, project running and design decisions.
This practice like new input and are open to suggestions and due to their size, you will have a key role in the project delivery.
Some schemes are looking for ideas as to what facilities can fit into the sites, whereas others are just on site and require control and technical assistance.
You will work on schemes focused around healthcare and residential, but these are varied and involve listed, existing and complex buildings with new-build creations.
Clients include NHS and private healthcare schemes including Harley Street development
Residential schemes from apartments to luxury housing
The practice:
Small, yet very established practice, seek additions to their team to assist with complex schemes
They have a portfolio of healthcare and residential schemes of varying scales and so you will get to jump into a variety of UK based schemes.
Very close to south London underground links, this office is in a quite location with facilities nearby
Team is a mix of cultures and personalities, so great conversations and environment to work in
Due to variety of work and atmosphere, you will gain lots of design involvement and a real grasp of the schemes, rather than completing a small area
Some schemes are on site and others require feasibility input
* Person:
* AutoCAD skills will be required as partners do not use CAD so you will be the most senior person using CAD
* large-scale project experience would be of benefit
* experience in healthcare would be a huge bonus though not essential
* proof of technical drawings with various complexities vital
* UK building regulations knowledge will be required
* Knowledge of how to solve detailing and to truly understand technical issues as this will be tested in interview
* Construction expertise
* You will need to work without supervision and feel confident with drawings produced
* Able to work on several schemes simultaneously and change stage priorities as required
What can you expect:
